Set up AutoBlogMatic in about 30 minutes.
Install the plugin, activate your one-time license, connect your own free AI key, set what to publish — then close the tab. Everything runs inside your WordPress, on a schedule you control.
Requirements
- A self-hosted WordPress 5.8+ site (PHP 7.4 or newer).
- Your AutoBlogMatic license key (sent by email after your order).
- A free API key from any supported AI provider — Google Gemini is free and recommended to start.
- Ability to install plugins (an Administrator account).
1 · Install & activate
Upload the plugin
In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the autoblogmatic.zip file from your purchase email, then click Install Now and Activate.
Enter your license key
Open AutoBlogMatic → License in the sidebar, paste your key (looks like ABM-PRO-XXXX-XXXX), and click Activate. You'll see an "Activated" badge and automatic updates switch on.
One license covers the number of sites in your plan (Single, Business, or Agency/Unlimited). You can deactivate a site to free a slot at any time.
2 · Add your free AI key
AutoBlogMatic never charges per article — it uses your AI key, so you pay the provider's rate (often $0 on free tiers).
- Create a free key at your provider — for Gemini, visit Google AI Studio and click Create API key.
- In WordPress open
AutoBlogMatic → AI Providers, pick your provider, paste the key, and click Verify. - A green Connected badge confirms it works. Add more providers as fallbacks if you like — they're tried in order.
Keys are stored encrypted in your own WordPress database. They are never sent to AutoBlogMatic's servers.
3 · Set topics & schedule
Open AutoBlogMatic → Topics & Schedule and tell it what and how often to publish:
- Topics & keywords — add the subjects you want covered (e.g. "WordPress SEO", "WooCommerce"). It expands these into specific article titles.
- Posts per day — your daily publishing quota.
- Active hours — the window during which posts go live (e.g. 09:00–18:00).
- Options — auto featured image, SEO plugin sync, auto-index to Google, weekend pause.
Save, and the background scheduler takes over.
4 · It publishes on autopilot
From here AutoBlogMatic runs on its own. For each scheduled slot it moves an article through a five-stage pipeline:
- Research — gathers intent and supporting points for the title.
- Write — drafts a structured, ~1,800-word article.
- Illustrate — adds a featured image (AI or stock).
- SEO — sets title, meta, slug, JSON-LD schema and internal links.
- Publish — posts it live (or to draft, if you prefer review).
You can watch progress live on the AutoBlogMatic dashboard, or just close the tab — it keeps working.
SEO & images
Every article ships SEO-ready: an optimized title and meta description, a clean slug, valid JSON-LD schema, and internal links to your related posts. If you run Yoast, RankMath, AIOSEO or SEOPress, AutoBlogMatic writes directly into their fields so your existing setup stays the source of truth. Featured images are generated or pulled from stock automatically.
Supported AI providers
Bring a key from any of these — pick a primary and the rest auto-fallback:
Google Gemini · OpenAI · Anthropic Claude · Groq · Mistral · DeepSeek · xAI (Grok) · Perplexity · and more.
Updates & license
While your license is active, plugin updates appear in WordPress like any other plugin — one click to update. Your license is one-time: there are no recurring fees, and updates are included for your plan. Manage activated sites under AutoBlogMatic → License.
Troubleshooting
"License key invalid"
Check for trailing spaces, confirm you're using the key from your latest order email, and ensure the site isn't already at its activation limit.
Posts aren't publishing
Verify your AI key shows Connected, that today falls inside your active hours, and that WordPress cron is running (some hosts disable it — enabling a real cron job fixes this).
AI provider errors / rate limits
Free tiers have daily caps. Add a second provider as a fallback, or lower your posts-per-day.
